Caring for the environment

We love green, open spaces and fresh, clean air. We are always looking for ways to reduce our impact on the environment and as proud members the David Bellamy Scheme, we take our environmental responsibilities seriously.

We have a biomass woodchip boiler that heats the water for our swimming pool and produces heat for other buildings on site. This woodchip boiler replaced:

  • 1 x 150kw oil fired boiler for central heating only
  • 2 x 40 kw gas boilers for swimming pool
  • 2 x 90.5 kw gas boilers for hot water only
  • Total 411 kw
  • Saving 261 kw
  • Expected Carbon savings: 69.68 tonnes CO2 per year!

We encourage plating of native flowers and bushes to attract more bees, butterflies and insects.

Reduce, re-use and recycle initiatives are in place around the park.

Water conservation – timed push taps are just one of the ways we are reducing our water consumption

Buying local – we try to use locally produced products where we can.

We sell local and eco friendly produce and products in our onsite shop.
