FAQ's for Holiday Guests

  • Can I get to the beach?
    Yes, there is direct access via a steep path that winds its way down to beach. As it is a little rocky it is not suitable for pushchairs.
  • Can I bring my dog?
    Yes, we have several pet friendly self catering caravans available. Dogs are allowed in Reception, the lower hall, the north deck and the touring pitch area. We ask that they be kept on a lead at all times whilst walking around the park and that owners always clean up after their dogs. There is a fenced dog garden on site where they can be let of the lead and there is also access to the beach where there are no restrictions, so they can run free. Don't forget to bring your lead and your poop scoop!
  • Do I need to bring my own linen?
    If you have booked into a chalet for bed and breakfast or half board, you do not need to bring your own linen or towels - though if you plan on using the swimming pool or going to the beach you may like to bring along an extra towel.

    If you have booked self catering in a caravan you can either hire a linen pack from us, which includes sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases and towels, or you are more than welcome to bring your own. Pillows and Duvets are provided.You will also need to bring tea towels, dish cloths and oven gloves.
  • Is there a laundry?
    Yes. We have a laundrette with coin operated washing machines and dryers as well as ironing facilities.
  • How do I pay and when is balance due?
    When you book a deposit is taken to confirm the booking and the balance is then due 30 days before the start of your holiday.
  • Can I change my booking?
    Yes. We will always try our best to accommodate any changes you may have, subject to availability.
  • Can I remove or add extras to my booking?
    Yes - just give us a call!
  • What are the check in and out times for my booking?
    Check in is from 4.00pm and check out is 10.30am. You are welcome to arrive early and enjoy the facilities on site before your check-in time and also after you have checked out on the day of your departure.
  • What facilities does my accommodation have?
    Self Catering Caravans have a television, shower bathroom and a kitchen equipped with oven and hob, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, pots, pans, crockery and cutlery.
  • What facilities does the site have?
    There is a bar, shop, indoor heated swimming pool, games/arcade room, snooker room, laundrette, ballroom, tennis court, boules court, children's play area, putting green, dog garden.

FAQ's for Holiday Home Owners

  • Do you sell used as well as new holiday home caravans?
    Yes, if a unit under 5 years old becomes available we will put it back on the market, also we occasionally put ex hire fleet units up for sale. Prices for used holiday caravans occasionally start from as little as £19,000, the range of models does vary throughout the year, we would be happy to send you an up to date sales sheet.
  • Do all the Holiday Homes have hot and cold water, WC's, showers and electricity?
    Yes, they are all connected to mains electricity, water and drainage and enjoy all the comforts of a home - separate shower/bath rooms, separate bedrooms, comfortable fitted lounges, heating and space for colour television, Microwave etc. You will be amazed at the comforts a modern holiday caravan can offer.
  • Do the Holiday Homes come fitted with a fridge?
    Yes, although they are not supplied by some manufactures, we have them installed.
  • How many months of the year can I use my caravan holiday home?
    We currently have a 10-month License, which runs from Mid March to Mid Jan (including Christmas, New Year and Easter).
  • How long can my holiday caravan stay on your site?
    As we are members of the British Holiday and Home Parks Association you receive all the protection of an agreement conforming to the nationally accepted code of practice. The agreement is for minimum of ten years based on the age of the unit, which with review can be extended for up to 15 years. All new caravans have the full 15 years incl in the price.
  • Can I live permanently in my holiday home?
    No. Our license is strictly for holiday use only, as non-domestic premises it is structured as a second home to a main residence within the UK. However you are allowed to visit as many times as you like within the 10 month limit
  • Can I park my car close to my holiday home?
    Yes, there are access roads to all areas; most units have parking spaces alongside the holiday homes. The few that don’t have parking spaces nearby. There are also additional parking areas by the main building and around the Park.
  • Can I let my holiday home caravan if I want to?
    Yes, it can be a profitable aspect of owning a holiday caravan. You are entitled to let out your holiday caravan and operate the letting yourself or, if you wish, we can let the holiday caravan on your behalf through the office booking system, for which a commission is charged. For details on sub-letting please contact us. By letting out your caravan for as little as 4 weeks in the summer you could cover your annual charges. Guests hiring your holiday home are asked to pay a small Club membership fee.
  • What about insurance cover for my holiday home?
    You are welcome to join our block policy scheme, which is specially tailored for St.Audries Bay holiday caravans and underwritten by Leisuredays who offer an extensive 'all risks' cover all year round with new replacement options for caravans up to 15 years old. Naturally it also covers third party liability which is essential for those owners who let. Further details on the insurance scheme are available on request. Tel:01984 632515
  • Do you accept dogs on the park?
    Yes, but we do ask that they be kept on a lead and not exercised within certain areas on the Park, there is step access to the beach with no restrictions, so they can run free.
  • Can it really be this simple to own a holiday home by the sea?
    Quite honestly yes, but if there are further questions you would like to ask please do not hesitate to contact us. We are always happy to advise you on your choice of holiday home.
